Deva Lekhana

Deva Lekhana is a Tanjore art gallery located in Hyderabad, India with the aim of reviving an ancient art form for the contemporary home. After a lifetime of devoting myself to perfecting this historical artwork, I alongside a team of women artists, started Deva Lekhana to share our passion to make Tanjore paintings accessible to the next generation. We are deeply devoted to the intricate process involved in bringing these elegant paintings to life that can endure forever.

Tanjore paintings origins can be traced back to the 11th century of Chola period - we have carefully studied different influences to produce paintings with the same amount of quality and care. Our high quality of craftsmanship with locally sourced materials guarantee longevity of the artwork that will enhance the beauty of your home.

Tanjore paintings are characterized by rich and vivid colors, iconic composition, glittering gold foil laid over gesso work with precious and semi-precious gemstones. We use 22 carat genuine gold foil with Chettinad teak wood frame to bring out the perfect antique finished paintings.
